Cut Utility Bills with Combined Heat and Power

I recently spoke with A. Reed Hayes, a thought leader in the Combined Heat and Power industry.  Hayes, President and CEO  of DG Power Systems is working closing with industry in the NorthEast to reduce staggering utility bills. The power generators use natural gas or methane gas to provide onsite power production. This reduces part of the need to buy utility power and provides additional heat and cooling for buildings and swimming pools.

Combined Heat and Power and President Obama

Posted in Uncategorized by randy on the February 1st, 2009

Combined Heat and Power (CHP) and President Obama - As our new president takes office, front and center are energy issues - especially the dependence on foreign oil. Combined Heat and Power can be driven from many methane sources such as cows and landfill gases. Each kilowatt of power generated from these sources decrease foreign and domestic dependency on gas. Even if natural gas is used for the CHP systems, the combined heat and power (generation of both power and heat recovery) are vastly more efficient than traditional power production plants. One of the thought leaders in this field is A. Reed Hayes, President and CEO of DG Power Systems in

Lewistown, Pennsylvania. Using cow manure to generate power cleans up both a messy ground water pollution problem and recovers methane for power and heat production. Obama will be giving consideration for additional tax credits related to combined heat and power. Give him your support on this issue. What are your thoughts?
